Alan was a great guy and neighbor in addition to one heck of a good basketball player. I am sure he will be missed as is our other buddy Daryl Ford.

Rest in peace

Jan Michael Jablonsky                                                    I was a friend of Alan, though unfortunately not what you might call a close friend.  He was an incredibly nice guy, and I felt that he was perhaps the most intelligent classmate that I had at Blair.  I've always been rather introverted, but I always felt comfortable when I was conversing with Alan. He was one of the most dedicated athletes that I've ever come across, he would shoot perhaps a thousand or so jump shots a day practicing by himself on the basketball court.  I admired his dedication and wished that I could have been as dedicated.  If the coach had given him half a chance, he might have been able to have a bit of fame in the world of basketball. He had a perfect jump shot.  Alas things didn't turn out that way, and I never saw him again after high school.  I hope he had a rewarding life, and I know my life was better having known him albeit for an all too brief moment in time.

After Blair Alan raced stock cars at a track in Laurel, Maryland I took my young nephew to see the races and afterwards we went down onto the track to say hello to Alan. My nephew was thrilled to meet a real race car driver.

Wow, Alan's face came to me immediately when I read about his passing.  I remember him having a great smile, blonde hair, easy to talk to, and truly a nice person.  I hope his life was a good one.  I'm sure he's missed by many.
