Hi Everyone!

 I think it’s time to arrange the pedis/manis and cocktails for the ladies in our class (and Bruce ).  I see from the message boards and forums that there’s been mention of something like this being arranged during the time that the guys are chasing their golf balls, sluggin’ beers, running into trees with carts, and otherwise making adolescent spectacles of themselves (in other words, acting normally). PLEASE NOTE: THE PREVIOUS COMMENT IN NO WAY APPLIES TO THE LADIES THAT WILL BE GOLFING. In fact, I think we're all kind of counting on you to make sure there aren't any casualties on the course....) Anyway, I’ve checked around a bit and found that Rick & Company on Pierce Street has some great (and reasonable) party-package salon services available.

Jane, Sweety...Have you taken a real good look at my lil Haley...FOR REALS...I will ASK her but I don't think a manicure/pedicure is something she'd enjoy...We like to call something like that, "Forced Fun" around our house. Dad chose this instead of golf NOT her....TRUST! She'd rather be golfing with the boyz <grin>.

Just look at her nails...Although it'd be good to see them in a bit better shape...she ain't havin' it LOL

You're on the list.  No deposit is required. I talked to Linda Massey at Rick's yesterday and she's reallly excited that we're trying to pull this together. (She's even talking gift bags and extra hours if we need them!)

I'm so glad you can make it!! We have some major catching up to do, lady! I don't mind setting this up at all ~ I'm sure it will be a lot of fun!

For anyone else reading this post and who's interested in attending the party at Rick's, I've been able to extend the RSVP deadline.  Instead of tomorrow (Sunday, June 28)), I've gotten another five days for everyone to let me know if they want to join in the fun.  So, the response date is now

FRIDAY, JULY 3

If you can let me know by then, we'll be in good shape for reserving the party room and making sure there are enough people scheduled to work at Rick's that day  

And guys, please let your wives know this is for them, too! (Just make sure I know by July 3...)

Jane, thanks for arranging this.  It sounds like a blast!  Plus a good pedi for my flip-flop tired feet would be a relief.  The tootsies are looking mighty sad.

I would love to kick back a few margaritas with the girls (or guys), but Chris and I will not be able to come back for the reunion due to my baby brother's wedding the following weekend.

I just want you to know that I am currently polling several golfers: Joynt, O'Dea,Mahaney, Francis, Bartholomew  to see if their wives would be interested. I feel like a salon coordinator! As soon as I hear back from Mahaneys wife we should have several of our wives to add to your list.

So far I have a total of 13 signed up for Rick's. I'll be posting a list of everyone that's responded and a list of services and pricing in the next couple of days.  When I know who wants what (mani, pedi, massage, etc.) I'll be able to put together a time schedule.  So, just keep an eye on this forum and more info will be coming soon. (If we keep getting people to sign up, who knows? I might even be able to swing a couple free pedis for some of you foot-sore golfers!!)

Let me think...Where was I 5 years ago? I don't think I was in jail...LOL I was living in Monroe, WI doing the same ol' thing as an Ops. Manager/Statisticain but for a different company/call center. I left Curt for the second time and Haley and I were on our way; however, the job SUCKED, the small cheese town sucked...and you think pig shit smells bad Iowa and Nebraska...A small town in rural Wisconsin that had 5 cheese factories SMELLS 20 times worse and so do the citizens...SOUR MILK! I just Yak'd thinking about it.

Now, take a good look at me and my daughter...Do you think this town was ready for this awesome duo...Oh hell no!

I guess, my MIA status was due to me taking the time as a single father to focus on my daughter who needed all my attention away from any other influeneces or distractions. I had my hands full and there was some major fixin' needed with that rebellious child...and I did good! She is an awesome kid. Well, <sob> she aint quite a kid anymore...she has her own apartment <tear falling> and she will turn 19 the day of this event...So, I have a lil surprise planned for her as well <wink>...Girls, we are gonna hold her down and those nails and gnarly toes are going to get a major work over...LOL

I am there to drink and socialize but I don't plan on getting my nails or toes done; they are already perfect...PLEASE! J/K

Who all likes wine? I can bring back some GREAT wines back from California vineyards; I'll be out there again at the end of this week for a 3 day rendezvous with a few surfin' buds and a LITTLE BIT of work. I can write the cost of these bottles off as a business expense...God Bless the Fashion Industry!!! I'll just bring along a portfolio of Greg's designs and FORCE all you gals to look at it (HOT men in skimpy underwear and swimsuits NEEDS NO FORCING) and Voila! It's work related <wink>...LOL

I am a Cabernet Sauvignon, Bordeaux, Shiraz, and Pinot Noir drinker...Yes, I like my red wines with Merlots being my least favorite right behind anything that needs to be chilled aka White Wines and Zinfandels. What is the date you have to know if you are coming?  I still am not sure about the reunion.  I'm holding out for a cheap airfare.  Is anybody coming to the reunion from Kansas City?  I have found a fare for $128 RT from ATL-KC.  I would have to drive from KC, and that makes me nervous.  I have not driving a car since my accident 11 weeks ago today.
