Shortly before he died, I reunited with Leroy & met his new bride & son-in-law. We went bowling together (of all things) & had a great time. One of my favorite pictures in the (I think)'61 Annual was taken in the garage at his house the night we built a float for Homecoming. It shows him laughing hysterically on the back of that float, just before experiencing a nasty accident (you can imagine what happened by looking at the photo).
He was always a good sport; and, he was a good friend. I
learned Leroy was a helicopter pilot during the Vietnam Conflict. I miss him to this day.
