(I found this online)James Paul Prins Jr., 35, of Sioux City died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at his residence. He went peacefully in his sleep from congestive heart failure.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, with the Rev. Merrill Muller of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
James was born Oct. 12, 1970, to Sheryl (Keleher) Prins and J. Paul Prins. He grew up in Sioux City and graduated from East High School in 1989. He attended Western Iowa Tech Community College, studying the nursing program. He was a fun-loving cheerful person, chitchatting with anyone he would meet.
He especially loved working in his yard and taking care of his dogs. He worked in many Sioux City restaurants over the years. He also worked at Mercy Medical Center - Sioux City as a records technician for seven years, until his health failed. He then worked part-time at the Truck Haven Cafe until a few months ago.
He was baptized in the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include his mother and best friend, Sheryl of Sioux City; a brother and his wife, Justin and Maria of Sioux City; and nieces, Katie and Lillian May. He also left behind Joseph Gill, his best friend and life partner of 16 years; and his dogs, Boober and Harpo. He will be deeply missed by his grandparents, Ron and LaVonne Keleher; a special aunt, GayeLynne Flanders; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, J. Paul Prins Sr.; paternal grandmother, Dolly; and a nephew, Gage.
