Bob went to First United Methodist church with a bunch of us from North and West. Bob played church basketball with Brad Patton , Bruce Zook, Colin Cooper, Troy Haggeman, Dave Van Vleet, etc. and me in Junior High. We used to goof around at church youth meetings. Brad and I would go to Bob's house and dunk on his 8' hoop. Bob was also a pretty good pitcher in little league.

Bob was a good guy and I'm sorry that he passed away too young.

I was one of those running around at church and I remember his 8' hoop...that was a blast. But as I recall I still wasn't tall enough to dunk it or maybe that extra weight contributed to my vertical challenges. I still had fun.

I was floored when I heard about Bob. To this day I think about him, the fun we had and his unique walking stride...the boy had confidence. Every once in a while I will try to imitate his walk and it puts a smile on my face.

I miss him...
