Randy was one of the Leeds guys, along with Bryan Hansen, Mike Bowers and Mike Fuller, among others, who came to North. I got to know Randy through Bryan, Mike and Ken Brown.
In the summer after tenth grade (I believe), Randy was swimming in a farm pond with some members of his church. He dove, got caught in some vegation and never resurfaced.
Randy was a running fool. He was on the cross country team and could run seemingly forever. His younger brother followed in his footsteps as a runner in his honor.
