Michael Scott DeWitt, 18, 3804 Osage Terrace, died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital of injuries suffered in an automobile accident (on June 24, 1981).

Mr. DeWitt was born January 24, 1963, at Council Bluffs, Iowa.  He graduated with honors from North High School in 1981 where he was active in the football program.  He was enrolled at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, for the fall term, and he was employed at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Mr. DeWitt was a member of the First Covenant Church.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Greg and Dixie DeWitt of Sioux City; his mother, Mrs. Karen Klevos of Atlantic, Iowa; a brother Doug, and a sister Nicole, both at home; his grandparents, Dale Dewitt of Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Bair of Atlantic; his great-grandparnts, Mrs. Chriss DeWitt of Elliott and Mr. and Mrs. Otis Bair of Adair, Iowa.
