Todd Evan Lems, 21, 1203 26th Street, student, died Saturday in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness (acute kidney failure).

Mr. Lems was born October 29, 1962 in Iowa City, Iowa.  He graduated form North High School in 1981 aand presently was a junior at Iowa State University at Ames studying chemical engineering.

He was a memeber of the Cathedral of the Epiphany, National Honor Society while at North High School and also was on the North High School Debate Team.

Survivors include a brother, Vance, a sister, Valera Lems, and his stepfather, Adolph Traurig, all of Sioux City; six stepbrothers and a stepsister.

A memorial has been established in his name with the Marian Health Center, Renal Department.
