Janelle M. "Nelly" Sorenson, 42, of Sioux City passed away Monday, Sept. 24, 2012.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Waterbury Funeral Service in Sergeant Bluff, with the Rev. Martha Anderson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
Janelle was born on Nov. 5, 1969, in Sioux City, the daughter of David and Mary (Christman) Sorenson. She graduated from North High School in 1988. Janelle enjoyed scrap booking and facebook. She also collected Coca-Cola products and Snowbabies.
Survivors include her father, David Sorenson of Dakota Dunes; mother, Mary Sorenson of Sioux City; two sons, Tyler and Ricky Carver of Hospers, Iowa; brothers, Matt and his wife, Janet Sorenson of Brookings, S.D., and and Mark Sorenson of Boone, Iowa; aunts, Beverly Aspleaf of Dakota Dunes, and Susan Conyers of Omaha.
Janelle was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Janelle was one of my best friends. I met her in Jr. High. I miss her so much. I miss her smile, laugh, phone calls, and friendship. We had the best times anyone could have together. She will forever be in my heart.
