TonyFrancis Lorenzen, 25, of Dover Air Force Base, Dover, Dela., formerly ofSioux City, died Monday, June 30, 1997, from injuries sustained in a motorcycleaccident.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Larkin NorthsideFuneral Home with the Rev. Merrill Muller, Chaplain with the 185th FighterWing Iowa Air National Guard, officiating. Burial, with military ritesby Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard, will be in Good Hope Cemetery inCorrectionville, Iowa. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today at thefuneral home.
Mr. Lorenzen was born Nov. 19, 1971, in Sioux City, theson of Ronald C. and Patricia A. (Wies) Lorenzen. He graduated from NorthHigh School in 1990.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1990. Hisenlistment was up on July 31, 1997. He had plans to attend college in Marylandin the fall.
Survivors include a daughter, Nikole of Sioux City; his parents; a brother and his wife, Ronald Jr. and Elsa of Vacaville, Calif.;paternal grandmother, Marjorie Lorenzen of Washta, Iowa; maternal grandparents,Robert and Marcella Wies of Brunswick, Neb.; a special friend, Erin Fosterof Middleton, Dela.; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by a paternal grandfather, Clarence Lorenzen; an uncle, Craig Ruring; and a cousin, Laura Patterson.
Pallbearers will be Paul Wilcoxon, Kevin Kennedy, Greg Frye, Mark Kisling, Cory Brown, Jason Schebach, and Ronald Lorenzen Jr.
