Richard D. Miller

 

 

SIOUX CITY -- Richard D. Scott Jr., 47, of Sioux City died Friday, Feb. 26, 2010, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Richard was born the son of Richard and Geraldine (Miller) Scott on July 20, 1962, in Sioux City. He received his education in the Sioux City schools and attended North High School.

He married Linda Johnson on Feb. 29, 1988, they later divorced. He married Janace Hall in 1994, in Elk Point, S.D. She preceded him in death in 1996. He had many careers throughout his life, including being an EMT, firefighter and security guard. His last years were in construction with Service Construction.

He loved watching wrestling, driving truck and spending time with his family, friends and granddaughter. He was a volunteer for many years with both the Red Cross and Civil Defense. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Richard is survived by a son, Richard Miller of Sioux City; his mother, Geraldine Scott of Sioux City; a granddaughter, Kyla Miller of Sioux City; and four cousins, Gary Boucher, Dennis (Sue) Boucher and Jim Boucher, all of Sioux City and Tracy (Jeff) Allen of Knoxville, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Scott Sr.; and his grandparents.
