Heath De Goei Heath De Goei, 31, of Irvine, Calif., formerly of Sioux City, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Huntington Beach, Calif. Funeral Service was April 25 at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Craig, Iowa with the Rev. Marvin Mueller and Chaplain Alan Tyson officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton. Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden assisted the family with arrangements. Christopher Heath De Goei June l7, 1974 at West Point, Neb., the son of Dale and Mary (Westergard) De Goei. He attended school in Geneseo, Ill, and graduated in 1993 from North High School in Sioux City, Iowa, where he played football. Heath graduated from the University of Northern Iowa in 1997. While at UNI he was active in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. With his degree in International Business Heath moved to California and married Jessica Shune in May of 1998 at Las Vegas. The couple made their home in Huntington Beach before moving to Irvine. Heath was employed as a financial analyst with a number of companies, including the Irvine Company, Impact Mortgage and currently with Wachovia. He is survived by his parents, Dale and Mary De Goei of Springdale, Ark.; brother, Travis of Omaha, Neb.; and his sister, Hilarie Glass of Omaha; grandmother, Darlene Westergard of Ireton a niece; also uncles, aunts and cousins. Heath was preceded in death by his grandfather, Fred Westergard and his paternal grandparents, Art and Alice De Goei. Source: Hawarden Independent after April 19, 2006. ?
