Ruth died on January 24, 2014 in Aberdeen, So Dak.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack; a son Matt; her parents and five sisters and one brother.

Ruth Married Jack Butts in 1962 and shared 17 years together before Jack passed in 1979.

Ruth was married to Bill Bierne in 1980.  They combined families and together raised six children.  Ruth worked at Presentation Convent and Shopko in Aberdeen,

Internment is St. Mary's Catholic Cemetary in Aberdeen.
