
Stan Koch, Sioux Falls, SD, died January 8, 2018, at Good Samaritan Village. He was 75.
Stanley John Koch was born November 16, 1942, in Sioux Falls, SD, to Byron and Esther (Schweitzer) Koch. He attended Sioux Falls Catholic schools, graduating from Cathedral High School in 1960. Immediately following high school, Stan joined the US Air Force. For a period of time, Stan served in Spain. It was there that he met the love of his life, Alicia.
On February 8, 1964, Stan married Alicia Corsino in Madrid, Spain. The couple returned to the US and eventually made Sioux Falls their home following his discharge in 1967. Stan then began working for the US Postal Service. While working for the Post Office, Stan earned his Bachelor Degree from the University of Sioux Falls. He later retired from management in the area of quality control.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Alicia Koch, Sioux Falls, SD; sons, Greg (Teresa) Koch, Brandon, SD, Richard (Carol) Koch, Sioux Falls, SD; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara (John) Corbel, Edina, MN, Janice Frisk, of Minnesota; brothers, Roger (Sunni) Koch, Mel (Val) Koch, Mark (Karen) Koch, Bill (Carol) Koch, all of Sioux Falls, SD, Doug (Lori) Koch, Parker, CO; sisters-in-law, Sandy Koch and Deb Koch, Mary Carmen (Elisio) Dorado, and Olga (Jesus) Dorado; and brothers-in-law, Eduardo, Romon, and Angel. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Chad Gates; his parents; and brothers, J.B., Greg and Gene, and sister-in-law, Pat Koch.
