Jerry, age 70, passed away at home in  Rio Rancho on Sunday, July 14, 2013 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his spouse of 50 years, Mary Bernadette, of Rio Rancho; daughters Mary and Becky; grandchildren Pablo and Susanna; sister Diana Bauman and her husband Bob; sister Michele Jacobson and her husband Bob; brothers Tony Westendorf and David Lutz and his wife Sami.  Jerry as preceded in death by his infant son. 

Jerry was a proud employee of the Sacramento Mountain Ranger District, a U.S. Marine, a Benedictine oblate, an entrepreneur, a frequent traveler to Rome, a religious scholar and a devoted grandpa.  A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 followed by a Mass at St John Vianney with Father Scott Mansfield as celebrant.  Interment will take place at St. Michael's Cemetary in Sioux Falls, SD.
