David R. McCoy, of Hartford, SD, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2023, at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls with his family by his side. Dave was 82.

Funeral Mass will be held at noon on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at St. George Catholic Church, 408 S. Western Ave., Hartford, SD. A visitation with family present from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Miller Hartford Chapel, 600 S. Western Avenue, Hartford, SD.

Grateful for having shared his life are his loving wife, Barb; sons, Tom (Jan), Scott (Brenda), and Jim (Dawn Koenig); daughter-in-law, Patti McCoy; 9 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil (Eileen) McCoy and sister, Mary (Ken) Hartle; sister-in-law, Bev (Bill) Earley and brother-in-law, Clifford (Patty) Lawrence; and numerous nephew and nieces.

Dave was preceded in death by his son, Mark McCoy; parents, Bunny and Margie McCoy; brothers, Bud, Sal, Tom, and Bill McCoy; sister, Dode Kortman; and parents-in-law, Clifford and Marion Lawrence.
