Ronald N. Dupree Dies in Anchorage Ronald Noel Dupree died July 8 at the Anchorage Native American Hospital following a brief illness. Dupree was born Dec. 5, 1950, to the late Betty Lou Dupree King on the Cheyenne River Agency, S.D. He was raised by family members and attended school in Sitka. After high school he joined the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam. He also worked on the Alaska pipeline and drove taxi in Sitka. As a Vietnam veteran, he continued to serve his community as a member of the American Legion, Post 13. He will be missed by many friends and relatives. Services were held July 25 at the Eagle Butte Cemetery, S.D. From Daily Sitka Sentinel Wednesday, August 19, 1998
