from Daily Sitka Sentinel August 29, 2000 Peter R. Nielsen Dies in Seattle Peter R. Nielsen III, of the Kiksadi Clan, died Aug. 8 in Seattle at the age of 47. He was born Feb. 13, 1953, at Mt. Edgecumbe. The family moved to Brier, Wash., in the early 1970s. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymany S. Nielsen Sr., and a sister, June Nielsen. His father was Chookaiieidi Clan leader. He is survived by his mother, Marion Nielsen; sisters, Shirley, Louann and Lellani; a brother, Ray Nielsen Jr.; his daughter, Crystal; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Funeral services were held Aug. 14 at Aurora's Gospel Tabernacle Church in Mount Lake Terrace, Wash. He was committed to the Serenity Garden Floral Hills Cemetery in Lynnwood, Wash. Those attending from Sitka were a cousin, Phillip Nielsen; uncles, Archie Nielsen and John Nielsen; and an aunt, Vesta Dominicks.
