Gordie was my best friend at Niles West. He sat on the bench with me in basketball our sophmore year. He grew into his body his junior year plus played with emotion. We hung around with Dave Murphy and they both gave me a napoleon complex. Gordie was about the only Basketball player who could dunk at Niles West. We played in a JCC league with Mickey Berger even after High School. Gordie played for a Community College in Iowa and after that we lost touch. Funny, my pledge brother from Bradley Theta Chi, married Gordie's high school sweetheart...met her on rush street.
I hope this is all a mistake and that u come to the reunion Gordie. Ripon College published my obituary in a newsletter in 1995. Worse than that, I asked them to recant, and they refused.
