R.Ellen McNabb Ellis of Smyrna died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover.  She was 54.

Mrs. Ellis was born June 2, 1951, in Dover, daughter of the late Thomas B. McNabb and Ruth Anna Smith Gill.

She attended Smyrna High School where she was a member of the band and later graduated from High school in Japan.

She worked as a caregiver for the elderly.

Mrs. Ellis had a great sense of humor and a lifelong love of horses.  She enjoyed watching her son Derek play baseball, watching pro bull riding, classic movies and "I Love Lucy" and was an avid Eagles fan.

She is survived by her son, Derek (McNabb) Graham of Smyrna; two brothers, Thomas McNabb of Camden-Wyoming and James Gill Jr. of Smyrna; three sisters, Kathleen Sanchez and Lynne Rose, both of Clayton and Brenda Thompson of Smyrna; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Faries Funeral Chapel, 29 S. Main St., Smyrna, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.
