SMYRNA - Dale Lee Davis, of Smyrna, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. He was 38.
Born Sept. 27, 1969, in Dover, he lived most of his life in Smyrna.
Dale had worked for Bleachers International while residing in Strasburg, Colo., from 1995 to 2006.
He most recently had been employed as a welder with Metal Masters in Clayton for nine months.
Dale loved playing the keyboard, going fishing, camping and boating with his friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George F. Davis Jr.
He is survived by his mother, Mary F. (Allen) Davis of Hartly; a sister, Barbara Demmons and her partner, William Miller of Hartly; two brothers, George F. Davis III and his wife, Lisa of Smyrna and Robert Jones and his wife Cindy of Dover; three nieces, Kristi, Kimmy and Amy; two nephews, Christopher and Brett; and a special companion, Denise Grant of Strasburg, Colo.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call from 1-2 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home to help defray the funeral expenses.
