Maggie Jenkins - Class Of 1986


Margaret Ann Jenkins "Maggie" Age 34 of Dover, DE, formerly of Smyrna, died on Thursday, August 7, 2003 due to injuries sustained in a June 14th automobile accident.

She was born September 2, 1968, the daughter of the late Samuel M. Jenkins Jr. and Kay Sandy Jenkins. She was a graduate of Smyrna High School and of the University of Delaware, having earned a bachelor's degree in biology. Following her graduation, she was employed as a senior environmental scientist by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control in the Division of Water Resources and the Division of Air and Waste Management. She was most recently employed by the Delaware Department of Transportation as a senior transportation project planner. Maggie received honors and professional recognition during her career for her performance and dedication. She was active as an officer and official in both local and state field hockey leagues. In addition, she was an avid tennis and softball player, achieving many awards and championships in both sports.

She is survived by a son, Thomas Michael Pomatto, of Magnolia; her former husband and close friend, Lawrence T. Pomatto, of Magnolia; and her brother, Samuel M. Jenkins III, and his wife, Christy, of Clayton.

It's hard to believe it's been six years since you passed. You will be in our thoughts when our friends get together for the reunion. You will always be a part of the our class... The Class of 1986! :)
