Brenda L. Keel, 49, of Townsend, DE passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 19, 1961 in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was the daughter of William Spencer, Jr. and the late Geraldine (Hutzky) Lackie.

Brenda was a graduate of Smyrna High School, Class of 1979, as well as Del Tech where she received her nursing degree in 2004. On September 1, 1985, she married William H. Keel, Jr.

For a number of years, Brenda worked at Bayhealth/Urgent Care in Middletown. Later she was employed by DNREC, Fish and Wildlife at Woodland Beach where she worked until 2009.

Brenda loved spending time with her sons and was an avid animal lover.

She leaves many wonderful memories to her loving husband of 25 years, William H. Keel, Jr.; her two loving sons, Kane Louie and his wife, Jessica, of Newark and William H. Keel III of Townsend; her father, William Spencer, Jr. and his wife, Paula, of Dover; a sister, Lynn Spencer of NY, a brother, John Lackie of Japan, as well as many dear friends.
