Nancy Blessing (Curtis)

Nancy Lynn Blessing Curtis age 69 of Paint Rock Community of Loudon, formerly Kingston and Chattanooga passed away Saturday, November 20th at her home. Her career with the University of Tennessee Extension Agency touched many lives with her passion and dedication to 4-H services. She was also very involved with the Kingston 4-H Camp for kids and was an advocate for helping underprivileged kids to attend.

Nancy’s passion was to travel, especially in recent years with her friend Susan. She loved quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, canning, gardening, cooking, and UT football.

Nancy was a longtime member at Pine Grove Baptist Church and a current member of Stockton Valley Baptist Church. She was involved with the Oak Ridge Christian Women’s Connection and Bible Study Group.

She will be joining her beloved Danny M. Curtis in heaven, along with her mother-in-law Mae Bell Curtis who recently passed before her. Also preceded in death by her parents, Betty Ruth (Shannon) and Kenneth Edwin Blessing, and an infant older brother Kenneth Jr.; her father-in-law Robert (Bob) Curtis, and brother-in-law Robert (Bobby) Curtis.

Left behind to always remember her are her sisters Lana (Eric) Norbury of Cohutta GA; Janet Blessing (Kevin Hillis) of Chattanooga; brother-in-law Mike (Nancy) Curtis; nieces and nephews; Krista (Preston) Watkins, Kenneth James (KJ) Norbury, Erin Felton Lopez, Sam (Pace Rothery) Felton, and Rachel Felton (Griffin Rudolph); as well as great nieces and nephews: Olivia, Nathan, Savanah, Zoey, Kayson, Elijah and Paloma. And her sweet cat Booger!

Honoring Nancy’s request, family and friends will gather at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 24th in Pine Grove Cemetery for a graveside service officiated by Rev. Tony Curtis. Friends may come by Click Funeral Home and sign the guest book if they are unable to attend the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, or to a scholarship fund for Kingston 4-H Camp which will be created in honor of Nancy.
