Mrs. Rachel Lucille “Lucy” Dietrich, beloved wife, mother, sister, “mimi” and friend, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 14,2026, at the age of 74, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born January 5, 1952, in Pikeville, Tennessee to the late Lee Otis Skiles and Wilma Louise (Stewart) Skiles. She was raised in a home filled with love and faith, which she carried forward in every aspect of her life.

Lucy graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1970, where she formed cherished lifelong friendships and blossomed into a dedicated and compassionate young woman. Furthering her education at Sequoyah Training Center, she launched her career in the nuclear industry, traveling to numerous power plants across the United States, and earning her position as a Quality Control Manager, as well as the respect of her peers.

Beyond her professional achievements, Lucy was a talented musician and floral designer. She found joy in creating beauty that brightened the lives of those around her. Her true passion, however, lay in the nurturing of her family and spending quality time with them. She was a devoted wife to her loving husband, Darryl E. Dietrich, and a proud mother to her three children, Angela C. Sisk, Daniel E. Sisk and Matthew S. Sisk. Her family was her heart and she is theirs.

Lucy’s heritage is further carried on by her cherished sister, Jennifer (Skiles) Crawley (Donald), her lifelong confidante and friend. She also leaves behind five grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, beloved extended family and a wide circle of dear friends who will forever cherish the warmth of her smile, and the kindness and generosity she bestowed upon them.

She faced her illness with grace and courage, inspiring all who knew and cared for her. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the talented staff at Memorial Hospital for their compassion and care during Lucy’s final days. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
