May the Lord bless you and hold you in the palm of is hand. You left us to go home too soon.

I met Jeff when I was in 2nd grade. That’s when my family moved to Somerset, and I started attending the Village School. In 3rd grade, we moved into a house about a quarter mile away from his, and I started hanging out with him outside of school too. They had a basketball hoop set up in their driveway, and there was a big field across the street that was great for playing baseball and football. He had 3 brothers and 2 sisters. They all had friends who would hang out there too, so there would always be enough kids to get some kind of game going.

We were both called “Jeff” which would sometimes cause confusion, so people started calling him “JB”. He said he liked the nickname because it sounded like he was an important executive.

RIP, JB.

I found Jeff's brother, Bob, who shared the following:

"Jeffrey died on September 26, 1999 at his home in Falmouth, Ma. He is buried at the National Cemetery in Bourne, Ma. He is survived by his wife Susan and two daughters, Laura & Mary. Laura has two children of her own, Tyler & Rebecca Ferson. Laura & Mary live close to their mother on Cape Cod. Jeffrey worked in the Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) at the Mass. Military Reservation on Cape Cod where his brother Steve also worked. Jeff & Steve took federal civil service jobs at the Otis AFB PMEL lab after completing tours of duty in the U.S. Air Force. I, my other brothers and sisters, and all of our family miss him and still grieve his loss".
