John F. Dionne, 65, of Somerset, passed away on March 28, 2015 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.  John was born in Fall River, a son of the late Joseph R. and Margaret Estelle (Callery) Dionne.

Mr. Dionne graduated from Somerset High School in 1968 and attended the nursing program at Diman Regional Vocational Technical High School. He was employed with Charlton Memorial Hospital as a LPN for thirty-five years. Hospital staff had only wonderful things to say about him. John enjoyed skiing, boating, traveling to the Cape and coin collecting. He was very interested in old glassware and miniature items.

He leaves his brothers Joseph R. Dionne, III of South Yarmouth and Callery G. and his wife Janice Dionne of Somerset and his sister Deirdre and her husband Bruce Chorlton of Fall River. John was the uncle of Jessica Schlamp and her husband Neal, Kate Beaulieu and her husband Scott and Sean Chorlton. He was the great-uncle of Molly, Lilly and Olivia Schlamp of Southlake, TX. John was kind, loving and devoted to all the children in the family. We wish to thank all the staff at Charlton and Somerset Ridge Center for their help.
