In Memory

Susan M. Vincent (Hinchcliffe)

Obituary:

LAKEVILLE — Susan Mary Hinchcliffe, 64, died on April 9, 2015 following a brief period of illness. Susan was born on June 27th, 1950 in Fall River, MA, and grew up in Somerset, MA, the daughter of Edward and Hazel (Davies) Vincent.

There she attended local schools, focusing quickly in art. After gaining her Bachelor’s degree from SMU, and her Masters from Bridgewater State, she remained an art faculty member in the Acushnet School systems, finally working the rest of her days at Acushnet Elementary as their sole art teacher. She also gave her time to St. Thomas Episcopal Church, holding many roles but most notably Superintendent of the Church School

She also taught wreath-making and soap-making at Plymouth Plantation, was an active member of the Cranberry Players and the local theatre community, volunteered at the Middleboro Elks, taught art to seniors in her younger days, and travelled as much as she could, and as far!

She was a devoted wife to her husband Paul, a beloved mother to her children Heather and Todd, a wonderful grandmother to her grandchildren Jocelyn, Samantha, Matthew, and William, and of course a loving sister to her siblings Christine, Lizbeth, and Andrew, and a caring aunt to her nephews.

She was an excellent friend to so many people and she’ll be heartily missed by all, especially her enthusiasm, her traveling to wherever you were, and her love of old movies and history.

To Susan's family-

A life too short, but a life well lived.
