Patricia Ann Giza

January 17, 1950 - August 15, 2006

Patricia A."Pat" Giza 56, of Purington Street in Somerset passed away Tuesday August 15, 2006 at Saint Anne’s Hospital in Fall River. She was the long time companion of Anthony Barboza also of Somerset. Patricia was born in Fall River, MA on January 17, 1950 the daughter of the late John F. and Victoria T. (Wapenski) Giza. She graduated from Somerset High School class of 1968, and then went on to graduate from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. After graduating she worked for the City of Fall River in the Historical Preservation Department and then for the Office of Community Development for over twenty years combined. Pat enjoyed reading, traveling, and photography, and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors beside her companion are a sister-in-law Charlene Giza of Warwick, Ri a niece, Kristen A. Giza of Warwick, RI,two nephews, Keith J. Gia of Cambridge, MA, Scott D. Giza and his wife Elizabeth and their two children Carly and Jett all of Westmoreland, NH, aunt and uncle Florence and Thaddeaus Orzechowski of Somerset, MA, aunt Pauline Flowers of Clermont, FL, uncle Zigmond Giza of CA
She was the sister of the late Michael C. Giza.
