DANIEL J. JUVA
AGE: 22 SOMERSET
Daniel J. Juva died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Washington, D.C. He was 22.
Daniel was born in New Brunswick. He lived in Edison, Somerset and Washington, D.C., prior to moving back to Somerset. Daniel attended American University, Raritan Valley Community College, and then Rutgers University for the past year and a half.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Stanley and Mindy Juva and his sister Heather Juva of Somerset; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Roslyn Westheimer of Somerset and his paternal grandparents, Ann and Stanley Juva of South Plainfield; his aunt and uncle, Anita and Steven Goldman of Somerset and his cousins, Ellen and Matthew of Somerset, and his great-aunt, Edith Beiles of Somerset.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in the Middlebush section of Franklin Township.

To the Juva family,
I worked with Dan at Turnstyles Ticketing. We always told each other that we were going to escape and move to Tampa, Florida together and be roommates. He was so fantastic he made it worthwhile to go to work. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers and Dan will be forever missed.

I was only lucky enough to know him this past summer, but it was an amazing one. Juva always had such a great positive attitude and always had us laughing. He was a great counselor and great friend to all of us. He was a sweatheart. He always put a smile on my face as soon as I saw him in the morning. He will be missed so much at OCDC! We all love him a lot!! And we definitely miss him. Love you JUVA!!! RIP<3

I'm very sorry that Juva is no longer with us. He was loved by so many and he was an amazing person, an amzing friend, an amazing student, an amazing brother, an amazing cousin, an amazing son, an amazing grandson, an amazing nephew, and now he is an amazing guardian angel for all of us. He will be truely missed by anyone who ever meet him. He was just one of the those people who you fell in love with the second you meet him. He was and will always be my best friend. Dan was one of the best people I have ever had the privilege of meeting! I only got to know him for one summer, but it will be a summer I'll remember forever. Tuesdays were always the day Juva, our friends and I went out. The countless memories of the jokes and stories we came up with will stay with me forever! We agreed on very little but our differences is what made spending time together so great! I'll miss Dan forever but I am happy I had the chance to get to know him!

I met Dan or as we liked to call him Juva this summer. From that very first day I could tell we were going to be very good friends, which we were. I always looked forward to Tuesday's this summer because those were the days Juva, I, and other camp friends would get together. Juva was always capable of putting a smile on my face. He always knew the right thing to say and made me and others laugh so hard. I am so thankful to have met such an amazing person. He taught me not to judge others, to be yourself, and I would say he helped bring my brother and I to be closer. I will never forget the Summer of 2008.

I only knew Dan for one summer, but it was a summer I'll never forget. From the time we first met at orientation, I could tell Dan was a great couselor and would make a great friend. He was always finding a way to have fun, which is tough when you look after 16 second graders. Dan was a good friend, he was so good with his kids, and I will miss him terribly, as will everyone who had the good fortune to meet him.

I used to work with Dan at Turnstyles Tickets and we became friends instantly. He was one of the most outgoing people I've ever met. I used to go into work a little early just so I could get a seat next to Dan so we weren't so bored during the day. This is truly a tragic loss, and although I can't make it to the funeral tomorrow, he will be deeply missed, and the whole Juva family is in my prayers.
