William Gordon Binks, 84, died Nov. 5, 2005, at Rebecca Residence in Allison Park, PA.
Born in Brooklyn, he was a decorated veteran of the Royal Canadian army, having landed at Normandy. Mr. Binks received a bachelor's degree for McGill University in Montreal and a master's degree in educational administration from Seton Hall University. He was a retired teacher at Franklin Township High School in Somerset, N.J.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth (Burke) Binks of Verona; daughters, Bonnie Edwards of Louisville, Colo., and Laura Trubnick of Verona; sister, Janet Griffith of Homestead, Fla.; brother, George Binks of Pointe Claire, Quebec; two grandsons.

Age 91, of Castle Shannon, PA, formerly of Bernardsville, NJ; on Friday August 17, 2007; beloved wife of the late W. Gordon Binks and Eugene H. Trubnick; devoted mother of Bonnie (Robert) Edwards of Louisville, CO and Laura Trubnick of Castle Shannon; loving grandmother of Keith Edwards (Erin) and Garry Edwards all of Boulder, CO.  Ruth was born In New York, NY in 1915 and grew up in Brunswick, NJ.  She graduated from DouglasCollege in 1935 and taught at the Bernards Township Elementary Schools until her retirement.  Ruth was and avid reader who was a long time supporter of the Bernardsville Public Library.  She will be remembered by her family as loving, intelligent and wonderful mother.  Laughlin Memorial Chapel.
