Shelly R. Wade, 52, died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Compassionate Care at St. Francis Medical Center. Born in Somerville, NJ, she resided in New Brunswick, NJ before relocating to Hamilton 4 years ago. Shelly attended Franklin High School, Somerset, NJ, acquired her CDL license in Edison, NJ and attended Lincoln Technical Institute, Union, NJ and graduated at the top of her class. She was employed as a meter reader by Franklin Township Department of Public Works for 7 years. She was also an Inspector for the Motor Vehicles Inspection Station in Edison, NJ and a licensed mechanic at the Getty Station in Green Brook, NJ. Ms. Wade was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Piscataway, NJ.

She was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Barbara Wade and 2 brothers, Ronald and Harry Wade, Jr. She is survived by her life partner, Gwendolyn G. Wade; one daughter, Latoya Sims (Salaam) of Hamilton; 9 grandchildren, Iz`Jon Hill, Jordan and Jayden Ashford and Ariana Sims, all of Hamilton, Tyrese Davis of Piscataway, Saniya Jackson of Somerset, Imani Shiver of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, Avery and Skyler Jackson of Edison; 2 sisters, Barbara Mapp (Michael) of South Brunswick and Celestine Leslie of Edison; 4 brothers, Donald Wade (Lynda) of Somerset, Larry Wade of North Brunswick, Kelly Wade (Crystal) of Ewing and Barry Wade of Manville, NJ; 2 stepsons, Eric Jackson of Piscataway and Tyshnn Jackson (Carla) of Edison; her mother-in-law, Rosa Lee Battieste of Piscataway; aunts and uncles, Margaret Harris (James) and James Wade (Geraldine), all of Somerset; great-aunt, Mary Eads of Somerset; sisters-in-law, Karen Southerland (Sam) and Tracy Rodgers (James), all of Piscataway and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 450 Highland Ave. Pastor Leonard Hampton officiating. Calling hours from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Interment will be at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ. Arrangements are by Anderson Funeral Service.
