SUSAN T. DOHERTY
BERKLEY -- Susan T. (Wallwork) Doherty, 47, of Bayview Avenue died at home Sunday, May 5, 2002. She was the wife of Thomas P. Doherty; they were married 18 years.
Born in Morehead City, N.C., the daughter of Donald T. Wallwork of Osterville and the late Beverly H. (Singleton) Wallwork, she lived in New Jersey for 18 years; she resided in Berkley 16 years.
Mrs. Doherty was a registered nurse at Adams House in Fall River for two years. Previously, she worked at Crawford Nursing Home in Fall River. She also was a social worker for Bristol Elder Services.
She graduated from Franklin High School in Somerset, N.J., in 1972. She earned a bachelor's degree in social work from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro, and her nursing degree from Southeastern Massachusetts University, now UMass Dartmouth, in 1990.
She was an avid sailor, loved the ocean and enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her widower; her father; a sister, Deborah Elwell of Assonet; a niece, Laura Elwell of Assonet; and two nephews, Daniel Doherty of Colorado and Hans R. Doherty of Fairhaven.
Her graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Assonet Burying Ground, Assonet.
Arrangements are by the Jeffrey E. Sullivan Funeral Home, 550 Locust St., Fall River.
