Michael "Hoagy" Hoagland, 59, of Philadelphia, died June 12, 2008.

He was born and raised in New Brunswick. He worked for IBM. He was currently employed by the Franklin Township Board of Education in the security dept. He was a member of First Baptist Church of South Bound Brook. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary Ann Hoagland. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn P. Hoagland of Philadelphia; daughters, Deneen Parkins of Piscataway, Manna of Virginia and Brittny of New Brunswick; sons, Michael Jr. of Florida, Leonard of Virginia and Omar of Somerset; father, Francis C. Hoagland Sr.; brother, Francis C. Hoagland Jr.; sister, Arlene A. Carey and her husband, James Carey Jr. of New Brunswick; 14 grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday, June 19, followed by the funeral service at 12 noon, at Bringhurst Funeral Home, 225 Belmont Ave., Bala Cynwyd, Pa., (610) 668-9900, followed by burial at West Laurel Hill Cemetery (located at the funeral home).
