Joyce Hope Thompson, 48, of Atlanta, Ga., formerly of New Brunswick, died July 5, 2008. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 145 Warren Street, Somerset.

Joyce was a graduate of Franklin High School, Somerset. She was a preschool teacher for Somerset County Action Program (SCAP) on Lewis Street in Somerset. She is survived by a host of friends and relatives in New Jersey.
