June Difede 1946-2004

Here's a note from her friend Sylvia:

"Hi Ron,

"It was so nice of you to reach out to June.  She passed away Monday 1/26/04.  She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1993 and lived a relatively healthy and happy life for the past 11 years. She never complained and she wanted no sympathy. The past few months have been the worst for her but she was in no pain.

"Her son and his family moved in with her only two weeks before.  She was in good spirits Monday morning, the day of her death. Her son, Carmen, was on his way to work 6am in the morning.  June was in her bedroom, awake, and in good spirits. He offered to bring her a cup of coffee and went downstairs to prepare it. In the time it took him to brew a pot of coffee and bring it to her she died.  June was very fortunate to have passed away so quickly.  She was afraid of being bed ridden and in pain and she was spared that agony.

"June was my best friend and I miss her.

"I thought since you were involved with classmates.com maybe you could put something on the message board.  Maybe there are others who knew her and would want to know of her passing.
