Herr Ziegenfuss was one of the best teachers that I had while attending Franklin High. He was no nonsense, fair, but demanding. Unforetunately, I was a very poor student when it came to German. Many years later when I was a senior in college, I sought him out as a tutor to help me prepare for and meet my college language requirement. Allthough he had retired as a teacher he agreed to help me at no cost. A wondersful and memorable gesture.
