Polly Ann (Brooks) Childs Lara

Polly Ann (Brooks) Childs Lara, 70, of Orange, Calif., formerly of South Bend, Ind., passed away after an extended illness of three months Sunday, Oct.31, in Bera Hospital, Bera, Calif. She was born on Jan.9, 1934 to Ernest and Ruth Brooks who preceded her in death.She was also preceded in death by two sisters.

She was a graduate of Riley High School in 1952 and also attended I.U.S.B.in the ‘50s.

She retired from Rockwell International of Orange after 25 years of service. Survivors include her husband, Edward; a daughter, Darci (Fred) (Childs) Maenpa of Orange; two sons, Brooks Childs of Louisiana and Scott Childs of Orange; two sisters, Ethel Bowser of Bremen, Ind., and Nadine Rogers of Cristie Lake, Lawrence, Mich.; two grandsons; and one great- grandchild.

Polly was cremated at the Neels Mortuary, Bera, Calif
