Lavern McCray

October 7, 1927 - May 2, 2015

Lavern McCray, 87, of Kokomo, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital.

Lavern was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy during WWII.

In keeping with Lavern’s wishes cremation is planned.

Lavern is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Betty R. Langel McCray; sons, Keith (Margaret) McCray of Michigan City and Michael Wayne (Brenda) McCray of South Bend; daughters, Cheri (Tom) Vogel of Sharpsville and Colleen (Gary) Trapp of South Bend; sisters, Sandy Whitfield of Washington, Betty Willis of California.

Lavern is preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy Patrick McCray; sisters, Doris Bresch and Helen Swingle; and brothers, Don and Bud McCray.
