Barbara Ann (Hollinshead) Sorocco

Mishawaka, IN—Barbara Ann Sorocco, 90, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, in her home in Mishawaka, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 30, 1935, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the daughter of Harry Hollinshead and Ruth Peabody.

A proud graduate of Riley High School, Barbara devoted much of her professional life to Quality Printers and Label Corporation, where she served as co-owner and managed the accounting department from the company's inception. Her dedication, strong work ethic, and keen attention to detail helped contribute to the success of the family business for many years.

On July 26, 1958, Barbara married the love of her life, William A. Sorocco. Together they built a beautiful life and shared 69 wonderful years of marriage filled with love, devotion, and countless cherished memories.

Barbara leaves behind her loving children, Mark Sorocco and William Sorocco II (Tami); her beloved grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, William III (Trey), and Nicolas (Nico) Sorocco; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Roma and Luke Sorocco. She is also survived by her nephew, Dennis Hollinshead (Kathie).

Nothing brought Barbara greater joy than spending time with her family. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrating special occasions, or enjoying vacations together, she created lasting memories that will be cherished for generations. Barbara will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her.

Perhaps she is best remembered by the heartfelt words of one of her grandsons: "They don't make them like that anymore." Those simple words perfectly capture the remarkable woman she was and the lasting impact she made on everyone fortunate enough to know and love her.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 115 S Frances St, South Bend. Service will begin at 1:00PM, in the church, with a burial to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, South Bend, IN.
