James Rocco Papandrea, 88, of Hoschton, Georgia, passed away on October 17, 2026. He will be remembered for his accomplished career, love for Notre Dame football, and, most of all, his deep devotion to his family.

Jim graduated from James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend, Indiana, in 1955, earned his Accounting degree from Indiana University in 1967, and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas.

He enjoyed a distinguished career with Whirlpool Corporation from 1968 to 1997, serving in leadership positions in Indiana, Arkansas, Michigan, and Turino, Italy. He concluded his career as Director of Executive Compensation at Whirlpool's corporate headquarters in Benton Harbor, Michigan.

In 2006, Jim and his wife, Annette, moved to Georgia to be closer to their grandchildren. He especially cherished attending their events and spending time with family. A passionate Notre Dame football fan, Jim loved cheering for the Fighting Irish and rooting against Michigan and Ohio State. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching games and following his favorite teams. Jim also had a special appreciation for sports cars, particularly the Porsche 911.

In 2023, Jim married Peggy, and they enjoyed traveling, reading, and watching movies and sports together. Football was a particular favorite, giving them many hours of enjoyment as they cheered on their teams and shared their love of the game.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James Rocco and Rose Papandrea; his sister, Carmela Shanahan; and his wife, Annette.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; his daughter, Ann, and her husband, Joe; his son, Christopher; and his cherished grandchildren, Molly, Samuel, Daniel, and Jacob. Jim's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the memories they shared, and the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 26, 2026 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church with a reception to follow.
