Joseph Michael Bango, who was born on November 1, 1956, in South Bend, IN, and passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, in Mishawaka, IN, lived a life marked by hard work, loyalty, and a quiet appreciation for the simple pleasures that brought him joy.
He was the son of the late Joseph Jr. and Elizabeth Bango. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Bango and John Bango. He is survived by his brother, Gary Bango of South Bend, Indiana.
Joseph was a proud high school graduate and carried the values of perseverance and responsibility with him into adulthood. He spent his working years employed in the metal tubing industry, where he was known for his steady presence and dependable work ethic.
Outside of work, Joseph enjoyed the pastimes that reflected his personality and interests. He liked watching old movies, finding comfort and enjoyment in the familiar stories and classic performances of earlier years. He was also an enthusiastic follower of NASCAR racing and local stock car racing, and he appreciated the excitement, skill, and tradition that came with the sport. These interests brought him enjoyment over the years and gave him opportunities to relax and connect with the things he loved.
Joseph was someone who understood the importance of showing up, doing his part, and appreciating the moments that made life meaningful. His presence will be missed by those who knew and loved him, and his memory will remain a lasting part of the lives he touched.
