SOUTH BEND Services for Tommy Joe Plump, 40, of 221. E. Pennsylvania St., who died about 8:45 Thursday when he was struck by an auto at 4400 Western Ave., will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Alford's Mortuary. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services Monday in the mortuary.

Mr. Plump was employed at Sibley Machine and Foundry Corp. He was born Oct. 18, 1952, in South Bend and was a lifelong area resident.

He is survived by a son, Tommy Joe Jr. of South Bend; eight sisters. Jean Webber and Susan Sharpe, both of Chicago, Paula Dawning of Bedminster, N.J., and Carol Haggan, Rose Fulton, Mary Buggs, Ora Ewing and Dorothy Plump, all of South Bend; nine brothers, Count Edmondson of Northridge, Calif., Raymond Plump of Atlanta, Henry Plump of Michigan City, Jeffrey Wiley of Indianapolis, and Paul Dawning, William Dawning, Edward Wiley, Vincent Wiley and Richard Plump, all of South Bend; maternal grandfather, Joe Monroe of Fayetteville, N.C.; and his mother and stepfather, Armie Gean and James Wiley of South Bend.

He was a member of U.A.W. Local 183 and AMVET Post 66.
