SOUTH BEND – Jack Eugene Inks, 53, of Lenoir City, Tenn., formerly of South Bend, died about 12:45 p.m. Monday at Parkwest Hospital, Knoxville, Tenn., after an illness.
Mr. Inks was a truck driver employed by Colonial Freight Systems, Knoxville. He was born Dec. 25, 1936, in South Bend, and lived in this area most of his life, moving to Tennessee two years ago.
On Dec. 29, 1979, in South Bend, he married Jane Shirley. She survives, along with three daughters, Cynthia Inks of Mishawaka, Terri Huffman of Osceola and Sherri Hallett of Albuquerque, N.M.; a step-daughter, Laura Metcalf of Lenoir City; two sons, Donald and Michael, both of Mishawaka; three stepsons, Richard A. Tarlton of Bremen, Tony Tarlton of Plymouth, and Robert Tarlton of LaGrange; eight grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; a brother, William of Edwardsburg; and his mother, Lucille Inks of South Bend.
Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Drive, is in charge of arrangements.
