Linda Sue Biggs (Lange) - Class Of 1966

Linda Sue Biggs (Lange)

Linda Sue (Biggs) Lange

July 25, 1947 ~ May 24, 2025 77 Years Old

Linda Sue (Biggs) Lange, 77 years old, passed away surrounded by loved ones at the Mishawaka Center for Hospice Care at 11:13 A.M. on May 24, 2025, after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

Linda was born in South Bend on July 25, 1947, to Jack Biggs of Mishawaka and Betty (McCulley) Biggs of South Bend. She lived in the South Bend-Mishawaka area and graduated from John Adams High School in the Class of 1966. She Graduated from Bethel College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in management.

Linda worked at Prudential-Bach Financial, and Bendix Aviation in the area. She moved to San Diego, California, in 1979, after being transferred to Bendix’s facility out there. She continued her employment for a number of years at the facility, even after Bendix was acquired by Hughes Aircraft. She moved back to the Mishawaka area in 1996 and worked at the University of Notre Dame as the Copy Center manager until her retirement.

Linda was an active member of the community. She was in charge of her class reunions, organizing almost every single one and published a book on how to organize class reunions. Linda had a creative outlet as well with her hobbies including baking, gardening, writing, and using her Cricut machine, as well as knitting. She would send intricate handmade cards for every celebration and holiday.

Linda was a devout Christian, reading the Bible often, and trusting her faith in God to help her through her struggles, such as her battle with cancer and her numerous other health conditions.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Jack Biggs, Betty Lichkai, and her sister Sandy Presnell. She is survived by her two sons, Todd (Lori) Lange and Randall (Tonya) Lange both of Mishawaka, her four grandchildren, Kelsey (Mark) Lange-Chapman of Mishawaka, Joshua Lange of Mishawaka, her two great grandchildren, and two step-grandchildren, Nathan Sherman and Breanna Laster of Mishawaka. She is also survived by her sisters Jackie (Bob) Bralick of Benton Harbor, Michigan, Mary Dawn Boss of Winneconne, Wisconsin, Mary Katherine (Vaughan) Cornwall of Edwardsburg, Michigan, her Uncle Louie (Christa) Muth of Vista, California, as well as dozens of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Linda will be remembered for many things, but the most important thing she did was bring people together. Linda bridged the gap between parties such as family and friends, giving people a reason to visit each other. For that, we are forever grateful. The world lost a wonderful person, but Heaven gained another one.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00 AM- 11:00 AM, and the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 AM,  at St. Paul's Life Plan Community, 242, 3602 S Ironwood Dr, South Bend.
