Charles W. Beaver

Charles W. "Chuck" Beaver, of Quapaw, Okla., passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 at Integris Miami Hospital. He was 70 years old.
He was born February 10th, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana to Charles W. Beaver, Sr. and Marilyn J. (Barnhart) Beaver. He was a high school graduate. He then attended Ozark Bible College where he was trained in the ministry. He was married to the former Sherry Ritchey, and to this union they had two children.
He served as minister of the Quapaw Christian Church for many years. After retiring from the ministry, he was often called upon to perform weddings and officiate at funerals. He was also a skilled tile layer, laying tile with his father-in-law through their company, Ritchey and Beaver Ceramics, for over 40 years.
He had an intense love for the Lord. He loved hearing the Word spoken along with the worship service and singing. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church in Miami. For many years he taught the Martin Fellowship Sunday School class.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn.
Those left behind to mourn his loss include his wife, Sherry, of the home; his father, Charles W. Beaver, Sr. of Joplin, MO; two children, CD Beaver of Webb City, MO and Michelle Thurlo and husband Craig of Webb City, MO; three sisters, Melanie Klein, Michelle Zoellar, and Marcia Hoth; three grandchildren, Dylan Williams, Destiny Thurlo, and Dalton Thurlo; one great grandchild on the way, Kinlee Williams; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10th, 2022, at the First Christian Church in Miami. Dr. Brian Brubaker will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Chuck by donating to the First Christian Church Building Fund, 2424 North Main, Miami, OK 74354.
