Marcia A. Robinson, 52, of Churchill Drive, South Bend, Ind., expired from this life on Thursday, Nov. 14, at 9:30 p.m. She was born to the union of Nathaniel and Renelda Robinson, and was a lifelong resident of South Bend. Marcia accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of First A.M.E. Zion Church, where she was a former member of the usher board. In 1969 she graduated from John Adams High School.

At the age of 17, Marcia was employed by Sears Roebuck Company, later becoming Sears Department Store, as a co-op student. A dedicated and committed worker, she remained employed until she retired in 2001. Marcia was a former board member of Logan Center.

Family members who will cherish Marcia's love are a son, Eric Marshall Mason-Robinson of South Bend; her devoted father, Nathaniel Robinson; four sisters, Marguerite A. Taylor and Myra A. Carter of South Bend, Mary A. Mattai of Cleveland, Ohio, and Marsha Mitchell of Union City, Ga.; three brothers, Nathaniel Robinson and Marcus A. Robinson of South Bend, and Marshall Robinson of Austin, Texas; two aunts, Mary E. Miller of Detroit, Mich., and Evelyn Smith of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She will be greatly missed by her nine nieces and nephews, 15 great-nieces and nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Renelda M. Robinson in April 1999.

Services will be Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. in the First A.M.E. Zion Church, Rev. Timothy Rouse, pastor. Viewing will be Friday, Nov. 22, from 6 to 8 p.m. in Alford's Mortuary. Interment will be at St. Joseph Valley Cemetery. Services have been entrusted to Alford's Mortuary
