Suellen Anderson (Goralczyk) - Class Of 1965

Suellen Anderson (Goralczyk)

Suellen A. Goralczyk

Suellen A. Goralczyk, 75, passed away Friday, January 7, 2022.

Suellen was born October 19, 1946 in South Bend to the late Edwin and Marcella (Gillen) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Marilyn Witt and Katherine Anderson.

Left to cherish the memory of Suellen is her loving husband Kenny Goralczyk, along with their children, Kevin (Lynn) Goralczyk, Jeffery (Angela) Goralczyk, Patrick (Christina) Goralczyk; grandchildren, Anne Goralczyk, Joe Goralczyk, Kelly Goralczyk, Nicholas (Carrie) Goralczyk, Alexandra (JT) Goralczyk, Megan Goralczyk, Elizabeth Goralczyk, Grace Goralczyk, William Goralczyk, Sarah Goralczyk; great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Goralczyk, Alison Anglin, Benjamin Anglin, Jasper Goralczyk; sister, Barbara (Dan) Shepperd; and brother, Edwin (Rita) Anderson.

Suellen was a long-time member of Saint Anthony & Saint Casimir Parishes. She was a Den Mother, Room Parent, and involved with her kids' school and sports activities. She helped run a family service station, and she held every title within the company. Suellen was a jack of all trades, and the strongest woman you would ever meet. She was a wonderful grandmother and would never miss a sporting event, or any event for that matter. She enjoyed hosting friends of family members in her home for meals. Suellen also hosted the Purdue band for dinner when they were in town for the 1996 Notre Dame football game. Traveling with family and friends was important to her, especially traveling to her son's house in Minnesota when she was able. She would also travel to bowl games with the Purdue band. It was quite the adventure when she went zip-lining in Tennessee on her 72nd Birthday with her granddaughters! Suellen played the flute in the Adams' High School marching band and continued to enjoy music throughout her adulthood. Most of all, she loved her family dearly.

Visitation for Suellen will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 7:30 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Father Ryan Pietrocarlo and concelebrated by Father Kevin Bauman at 10:00 am in St. Casimir Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Saint Casimir's Parish, 2505 W. Grace St., South Bend, IN 46619 or Our Lady of Hungary, 731 W. Calvert St., South Bend, IN 46613, or a charity of your choice.

The family would like to thank the staff of Memorial Hospital for the excellent care given to Suellen.
