Harriett A. Clayton-Wright

Harriett Clayton-Wright, 55, was born Feb.26, 1949, in New Rochelle, N.Y.She departed this life on Saturday, July 10, 2004. Harriett was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend who lived her life to the fullest with strength, joy and pride. Harriet graduated from John Adams High School (South Bend, IN.) in 1967.After graduation Harriet was employed by The Urban League of South Bend, and after relocating to San Diego, Calif., she worked as a United States Naval Base employee. Harriet’s career continued and she worked for the American Kidney Foundation of Atlanta, Ga.

Harriett, the daughter of Harry and Ruth Clayton, who preceded her in death, is survived by her daughter, Monique Sequan Wright; her granddaughters, Imari Dejon (“Re-Re”) and Iran Denay (“Ne-Ne”); her grandson, Rakwan Jaquae (“Buddah”), all of Austell, Ga.; her brother, Andrew Clayton (Annette), East Hartford, Conn.; sisters, Rhonda Clayton, Austell, and Joyce Clayton of South Bend.

A celebration of life will be from 6 to 8 p.m.Friday, Aug. 13, in the Clark-O’Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN (574) 232-6565. Harriett will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. Please join us in celebrating Harriett’s life.
