Jerry was one of the Kenna Homes Kids.  He was a great Baseball Player from an early age [Little League].  His Life was cut too short and it makes you wonder why?  One of the Good Guys.  Great Smile and Friend.

May His Memory Be Eternal!

Traveled with Jim Davis and Paul Gray to visit Smitty in Dubuque, Iowa, when he was in the minor leagues.  Kept in touch with him through the years and was fortunate to see him shortly before he died.  Jerry was a gentleman and wonderful person as well as a great friend.  He is missed!

I lived right across the street from Jerry and his sister and my sister were good friends, but neither of those facts helped me in my "crush."  I don't think he ever knew I existed, though I went to watch him play baseball all the time.  He was so quiet and such a gentleman.  I was stunned when I learned he died at such a young age, but he lives on in my memories!

I played basketball and baseball with Jerry........most didn't know it, but Jerry was a tremendous basketball player, but had to quit because of asmah........we played baseball together all through school and played American Legion ball together after high school......Jerry and Bud Turner were the two best infield players I've ever seen...Jerry at shortstop and Bud at 2'nd base.....tremendous combination.....Jerry was a very gentle, kind, and humble person and I will miss him......maybe I will see him again....

Hi Jerry,

I remember you because you were my "boyfriend" for a while - too short a while in my estimation.  I remember your beautiful eyes and your pet squirell.....I don't know whyor when you died but the world is not the same without you.
